Kamran Khan, World Bank leader in Singapore.

Economist Kamran Khan, leader of the Global Infrastructure Finance Center of Excellence and Singapore Urban Hub for the World Bank,  is headlining a one-day workshop on smart solutions for urban liveability – to be hosted by the University of Wollongong (UOW) on 14 February 2013.

Chaired by Professor Pascal Perez of UOW’s SMART Infrastructure Facility, the workshop panel also includes Ms Dorte Eklund, executive director of Infrastructure Australia’s major cities unit, Professor Brian Collins, Director of University College London’s new Centre for Engineering Policy, and Professor Graeme Hugo, Director of the University of Adelaide’s Population and Migration Research Centre.

Topics for the panellists and audience to discuss include international perspectives, demographics, urban development and systems, dynamic modelling and methods of surveying liveability in cities. The agenda is here
