New Zealand’s National Library and the Royal Society of NZ are hosting five seminars in Wellington to discuss different implications of the current global deluge of ‘big data’ (highlighted via the Library’s current Big Data: Changing Place exhibition).

The draft topics for this Wednesday seminar series in early 2013 are:

> From Space to Place: Recovering the Personal

> Cities and Sudden Change

> The Sentient Planet: Technology as a Super Sense

> Growing Up Digital: Digital Natives Discuss Their World

> Open Data: Letting It Loose on the Crowd.
